It was so refreshing to have a show that didn't rely on its characters being needlessly mean or stupid, and tried to make interesting stories and conflict while still being positive and intelligent. Doofenshmirtz, who is far more devious and threatening than his prime counterpart, they team up with their alternate dimension selves to stop him. Archived from on April 3, 2009. It didn't come to me what it was back then, but something was engaging me in a way few shows have done before. I'm not someone who cries at stories even when they actually get pretty sad the closest I ever get is my eyes starting to water , but I still agree that the finale was very emotional regardless. Admittedly I might be quite biased though, since besides the obvious choices of Candace and Doofenshmirtz Phineas is actually my favourite character on the show. This especially became apparent around 2010, when I started going through a bit of a Phineas and Ferb dry spell. Aspects of the show's humor are aimed at adults, including its frequent pop-cultural references. I never ended up being as interactive in the fandom as you did.
