From what I have read in other forums I now believe the old oil filter was that contaminated it had upset the oil flow and tripped the oil and P0008 error due to a drop in oil pressure. If you are making a Second Opinion post, then please do not name the shops specifically. I have a general idea where the sensors are but not sure exactly which one is which. Personally, I'd go get a second and third opinion. Though this will not eliminate timing belt stretch, tolerance is looser on engines equipped with timing belt than on engines with timing chain.
